A billion dollar idea to save lives.

Problem: Many motorcyclists are frequently killed by inattentive drivers.

Solution: Have all motorcycles include RFID tags and all vehicles have detectors that will cause a light to go on in the dashboard alerting the driver to the fact that a motorcyclist is within 100 feet of their vehicle.

Unfortunately the only way for this to work is if a federal or state legislation exists forcing manufacturers and/or vehicle operators to have the devices.

Questions to answer: Is RFID the best type of technology for this? How much would a system like this cost per unit on both sides? Is it best to pursue a state by state lobbying strategy or go straight for federal?

If you like my idea please steal it.
